Payment and Fees
The Glencoe Skating Club is a Not For Profit organization in the Province of Ontario, Canada. All fees quoted on this website are in Canadian Dollars. Due to the club's Not For Profit status, fees are HST exempt. To keep registration fees as low as possible, we are completely dependent on volunteers. The club will do its best to respond to inquiries as quickly as possible.
Payment
Payment can be made online using e-tansfers, cash, cheque or credit card. Cash and/or cheques must be given in person to the Glencoe Skating Club Treasurer on Registration Dates or before the skaters first skating session. Some full season programs allow for installment payments to be made.
E-Transfers can be made to glencoescpayments@gmail.com
If a member account is past due by 45 days, the club will disallow online registration for all family members for future programming until the account is paid in full, or alternative payment arrangements are made with the treasurer.
Declined Payments/NSF Cheques
CHEQUES: There will be an administration fee for NSF cheques, charged at the current bank rate and subject to change without notice.
Skate Canada Fees
Skaters must be members of Skate Canada to skate on GSC sessions, try tests, skate on a Synchronized Skating team, or compete. The membership year runs from Sep 1-Aug 31. The $50.00 fee is paid to Skate Canada, and is due upon registration in the first program of each membership year. Out of club skaters must provide proof of current Skate Canada Membership at time of registration.
STARSkate Partial Skater Registration
While the GSC would prefer fully paid registrations, we recognize that some skaters require only a portion of the ice time for a given session. There are two options for a skater: pay in full for the session or pay ½ of the registration and skate for only ½ of the season + a non-refundable $20 administration fee. During the course of the season, if the session is full and another skater wishes to pay for the prorated remaining cost to be a fully paid skater, the convener will approach the partially registered skater and offer them the opportunity to pay for the remaining prorated difference to become a fully paid skater for the session (fully due within one week). If the partially registered skater declines this opportunity, once the other skater is paid in full, the partially registered skater will be given a credit for the refundable portion of the remaining unused fees paid and removed as an approved skater for that session.
